Unveiled in late 2007, the new Sumo Tec treatment smooths the insert's coated surface to eliminate microscopic stress raisers, diminish heat and friction and boost chip flow. All Tangslit and Tang-Grip inserts are available in J- or C-type chipformer geometries from Iscar.
